The short version: Beat Cut is free to use, your edits belong to you, and you are responsible for having the rights to any music or footage you put into it. The tool is provided as-is.

1. What Beat Cut is

Beat Cut is a browser-based video editor that cuts your footage in time with a music track. All processing happens on your own device. Using it means you accept these terms.

2. Your content stays yours

We claim no ownership of anything you edit or export. Because your files are never uploaded, we hold no copy and no licence over them.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the material you feed into Beat Cut and for what you do with the result. In particular, you must hold the necessary rights to any music, video or image you use, and to publish the edit you create — for example on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube. Sample tracks and demo clips included in the app are there to let you try the tool; they are not licensed to you for publication or commercial use.

Do not use Beat Cut to create or distribute unlawful material.

4. Beat Cut Pro

Beat Cut Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the watermark from your exports. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
Your licence is activated per device and stored in that browser. It is personal to you and not for resale or redistribution.
Payment and licence issuing are handled by Polar. Their terms apply to the transaction itself.
If Pro does not work for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you.

5. Availability

Beat Cut is offered free of charge and without any guarantee of availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue it at any time. Because it runs in your browser, its performance depends on your device, your browser, and the size of the files you use; large files can exceed the memory your browser allows.

6. No warranty

Beat Cut is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any export will meet your expectations.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Beat Cut, including lost footage, lost time, or lost income. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which for free users is nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use Beat Cut means accepting the current version.
